Thanks to drugstore's compelling cat evidence she shared with me, we now know these pics from the Tendril Tales video and from the I'm Less Here video are both of Hope's cat Herman. I found a site that turns negative black & white images (with colours reversed, as these cat pics originally appeared in the two videos) into positive ones, making Herman's screenshots much clearer now! Although these are black and white screenshots, they pretty much show Herman's colours as he's a grey with black stripes tabby with small amounts of white on him, particularly around his mouth and under his chin. I'm pretty sure many Hope and Mazzy fans couldn't care less about Hope cat-trivia, but it's fascinating to me, and hopefully to a few others!

Above, I today posted a much better English translation (from German) of the Nov. 9, 2009 Different Stars site Hope interview. The previously posted version had lots of garbled, incoherent sentences.

I also posted an improved English translation of the Sept. 28, 2009 Danish GAFFA interview.

A 2010, June 10 Hope interview from The West Australian is added today. You'll find it posted cronologically in the main interviews thread above. Among other things, it has a good quote from Hope re. the making of the song "Fade Into You," QUOTE:

"Of that band's most successful song, Fade Into You, taken from their 1993 record So Tonight That I Might See, Sandoval says: 'I really loved it when we wrote that song. David wasn't that crazy about it. It was so basic and simple to him and I just thought it was amazing and I had to talk the band into recording it. I had a good feeling about that song'."

[Added today, May 30, 2024]:
2010, JUNE 17, SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, HOPE INTERVIEW

This is a longer version (i.e has more Hope quotes) of the same interview/article as a second version which the SMH published the next day on June 18. The June 18 one is somewhat rewritten by a different journalist and includes fewer quotes from Hope than this one]. The June 18 version has been avialble in this section fro some years. The June 17 one is newly posted May 30, 2024. It's found chronological order in the main interviews thread above.

Among other things, we learn from this June 17 version that Hope, when asked who her fave Australian artists are, doesn't name any rock bands, but names Olivia Newton John, which may surprise some.

(Newly Added Oct. 21, 2024)
2010, JUNE 21, THE BRAG MAGAZINE, HOPE INTERVIEW

Text of the interview + the photo accompanying the article is findable in the main, long articles thread above, placed there in chronological order.

This interview I found online and first read many years ago but neglected to copy it (or else I lost a file of it I hadn't backed up). Then it disappeared and I became unable to locate it. I hoped it would turn up again as it's the only interview I know of where Hope comments on the official video (released Dec. 2009) for the Massive Attack song "Paradise Circus" which Hope guest-sings on.

Mazzy Star fan Gordon Hobs recently found and shared in the Facebook group this "lost" 2010 Hope interview from The Brag mag.

The Paradise Circus video could be viewed as controversial as it contains XXX content and is banned from Facebook, You Tube, & other sites that forbid nudity or porn. Hope's comments about it I view as important 'cause in them she endorses the video, says she likes it, and says it needed her formal approval to be released. I thought that important info to include if I wrote about the video in fan groups.
VIMEO video site does not ban the video. The uncensored Paradise Circus video has long been available there: https://vimeo.com/10405177.

Note the video is "not suitable for work" (NSFW, as they say), or for minors.

The official video for the song is unusual. It's not a typical music video in that it's a short documentary that uses the song as its soundtrack/theme song. Director Toby Dye was enlisted to create the video as a promotional video for Massive Attack's album "Heligoland." Massive Attack featured the video on the band's website for many months after it was first released. Many music sites at the time published articles about the video's release and provided links to view it. -Hermesacat/BB
