Thanks Mike: I came acriss that "Fade..." article a while back. I didn't think too much of it myself, but some others might enjoy reading it.
I added another "new" old interview today:
1993, OCTOBER issue, LES INROCKUPTIBLE (lesinrock) mag (France), INTERVIEW /Article with Hope & David. English translation from the French text. I include English and French text, both. I placed it chronologically with other interviews in the main interviews section on page 1 of this thread above. I recently found scans of hard copy pages of this article posted to Twitter by someone. I didn't have the article before. The translation's my own attempt using several translation services, plus French-English dictionaries. Hopefully Emma and other French speakers will find my attempt at an English version to be relatively okay.
The person who shared the article (Véro Servat, @histgeoblog) on Twitter had an unusual reason for sharing it. She's a former long-time employee of the Les Rockuptibles mag. In her Tweeted post, she tagged two music journalists she knows. She apparently Tweeted the article for them to see as an example of how unpleasant life can be for a journalist when assigned to interview a band as difficult and uncooperative as Mazzy Star reportedly was for this article! Her tweet with the article scans reads (ironically), QUOTE:
"Tweet Oct. 16, 2020 from Véro Servat @histgeoblog:
@nicolatavernier @bricabraque pour fêter vos vacances #MazzyStar dans le #50 des #Inrocks octobre 1993. Un grand moment de bonheur journalistique

[translation]:
@nicolatavernier @bricabraque to celebrate your holidays #MazzyStar in # 50 of #Inrocks October 1993. A great moment of journalistic happiness

"
Also, Today I added 3 photos to another article here, one that previously just had text. Facebook group member Mark Blair sent me photos of his own hard copy pages of the interview from Strobe mag, Jan. 1997 showing the three photos.
I also added an improved photo to the NME interview, Oct. 9, 1993. And an improved photo to the Pop mag interv., Dec. 1996
I have quite a few "new" old live recordings of HS&TWI shows from 2002 & 2009-10, plus a 1984 Clay Allison I haven't yet added to the boots list here. I'm slowly getting around to doing it. Some are from Dimeadozen site and some were shared to me privately.
This .fr site remains the best site for archiving articles & recordings. So I'm glad Emma keeps it going. Thanks Emma. But it's like ghost town here compared to the popular Facebook group I'm one of the admins at.It has nearly 6,000 members. I used to be a FB skeptic, and still realize there are many good reasons to want avoid FB completely. But for fan groups, FB is where people flock to nowadays, including people with new info and new material to share. One of best things about the FB group is many band "insiders" [friends and associates of the band(s)] have joined, and some of those are great participants in the comments threads. For anyone interested in checking it out, the FB group is called "Mazzy Star and Hope Sandoval Group" and is here:
