Mazzy Star - 2019 LIVE SHOWS,3 IN CA,1 IN MEXICO, Feb.-Mar.

Mazzy Star's official FB page
https://www.facebook.com/MazzyStarOfficial/
today announced an upcoming Mazzy Star show at Oakland, CA, Feb. 24, 2019 at the Fox Theatre.
Tickets pre-sale starts January 17
http://thefoxoakland.com/events/mazzy-s ... lyKo3lny-4

The official comment at the FB post says, QUOTE; "Playing some more music with our beautiful California friends.
❤️ Oakland"
As the official comment above suggests, I think all band members live in California now which may encourage more live shows there. With luck, they'll meander their way up the coast to Seattle again too, closer to where I am! Hopefully fans elsewhere will get a chance to see them too.

Another day, another new announcement of a forthcoming Mazzy Star show...
MAZZY STAR is playing MEXICO CITY March 2, 2019 at Festival NRMAL. Mexican Mazzy fans, your long wait for a Mazzy Star show to ever happen in Mexico will soon be over. Better late than never! https://www.indierocks.mx/agenda/festival-nrmal-2019/ English translation of the Spanish article is pasted below the photo.

Festival NRMAL 2019
02 Marzo 2019
The 2019 edition of NRMAL will be more than special.

The date for the next 2019 edition of the NRMAL festival is already confirmed and in advance we know it will be an exemplary party since it is celebrating 10 years of experimenting and changing the way we relate to new sounds and new sensations, simultaneously.

This past year was crucial for NRMAL since it changed the format of the festival to only one day and this undoubtedly managed to have a different impact, accompanied by a first level poster at the level of bands like Cornelius, Mac DeMarco, Miss Garrison , Yves Tumor, among others; the festival achieved something that had not happened in previous editions, selling each and every one of the available tickets, a challenge that does not achieve anyone.

The name of the festival alone already generates the expectation of witnessing something different in terms of experience in several senses: the bands on stage, the food, and its characteristic atmosphere.

The date for the next edition of NRMAL is March 2, 2019 and tickets are already released in the Boletia system. Now we can only wait for news about the other members of the line up and additional surprises.

The first confirmed band of NRMAL is Spiritualized. The group recently released "And Nothing Hurt," material full of traditional blues, gospel and garage, with some touches of future pop and psychedelia, creating a very interesting sonic hodge-podge.

The second band confirmed is Death Grips. This most brutal, powerful, aggressive and cathartic live act will be presented for the first time in Latin America in the celebration of the X of NRMAL. This show will be as part of the promo of their latest album.

The fourth confirmation by the organizers of NRMAL is Mazzy Star, who will arrive with their dream pop to the tenth anniversary of the festival.

This is the set list I've found on the Concert Set List website for Mazzy Star's show in Oakland, CA, Feb. 24, 2019 at the Fox Theatre. If it is accurate, it is pretty similar to the set lists of the shows they played last summer/fall.

Flowers In December
Ride It On
Lay Myself Down
Quiet, The Winter Harbor
She Hangs Brightly
Blue Light
Halah
Blue Flower
Fade Into You
Disappear
So Tonight That I Might See
Cry, Cry

Encore:
Bells Ring (acoustic version)
Look on Down From the Bridge
Rock Section

Thanks Emma, for updating the info here re. Mazzy Star's recent Oakland show. There's been some discussion at the FB group re. the setlist. Two people who attended say there's a song missing from setlist.fm's list. They both report hearing the band play the song "Still," but the setlist site does not include it... And now a third attendee says the band definitely did not play Still. I guess it will have to go in the "unconfirmed" category for now.

If they did play it, I believe this may be the first time the band played "Still" live. A rarity. A good quality recording of the Oakland show is reportedly on the way. The guy who recorded and shared the 4-song set Mazzy Star played at the Esperanza Clinic benefit, Nov. 30, 2017, attended and recorded this Feb. 24, 2019 Oakland show. Like last time, he's having his friend prepare his recording and share it on his behalf it via the dimeadozen site. The friend emailed me yesterday to tell me the good news and that he hopes to have it ready soon. Once I have it I'll of course re-share it via the Boots list here.

By the way, Zarik, if your'e reading this, are you going to share that 2000 Mazzy Star London show, afterall? Don't be a selfish miser. Like Ebenezer Scrooge of Dickens' novel, there's still time for you to redeem yourself! I hope you make use of this opportunity.

Thanks for the information about the set list, Hermesacat. Setlist.fm isn't always the best source to get accurate information. :( I added "Still" to the list and will remove it if it turns out they did not play that song.

I also added links to Matt Vollkman's YT channel, which contains full versions of most of the songs played at the Oakland show.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHRzlW ... KgTZsNzw5g
It's worth checking them out until we get the dimeadozen recording and find out whether they played Still :).

Here is the set list of the Cathedral Sanctuary show at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, Los Angeles (Feb. 26, 2019). It comes from the setlist.fm website and was confirmed on the Facebook discussion group page.
It is exactly the same set list as the one of the Oakland show.

Flowers in December
Ride it on
Lay myself down
Quiet the winter harbor
She hangs brightly
Blue light
Halah
Blue flower
Fade into you
Disappear
So tonight that I might see
Cry cry.

Encore:
Bells ring (acoustic version)
Look on down from the bridge
Rock section

I haven't been able to find a lot photos of this show. It looks like the stage was even darker than usual. I'll update this post if I find more photos. Here are the few photos made avaibable on IG:

The setlist of the second night at the Presbyterian Church (Feb. 27) was exactly the same as the one of the first show (Feb. 26).

Here is a photo of the setlist. It was signed by Sylvia Gomez of Going Home.

Luz Gallardo posted two additional photos she took at the Presbyterian Church. I suppose it was on the first night.

Here is a picture of Mazzy Star's setlist at the Nrmal festival (March 2, 2019).
Apparently, they did not play the last two songs "Looking On Down From The Bridge" and "Rock Section".
