On 2018-04-17, Mazzy Star quietly slipped on to youtube one new song from their forthcoming e.p. "Still," out June 1, 2018. The song is: "Quiet, The Winter Harbor," here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCW5f-ALm2s Unfortunately, the youtube upload is BLOCKED in certain countries, including my own (Canada), and at least some European countries. But someone recommended a video unblocker site that works perfectly to unblock this Mazzy Star yt upload that's otherwise blocked to me in Canada. So, if you are in a country where the yt link is blocked, try viewing the same yt video via this unblocker site:

[later edit - The song's reportedly on Spotify now too]
A lot of music sites picked up on the news of the new song yesterday. By luck, I came across it early, before any music news sites did and posted about it at the popular FB fan group

The Brooklyn Vegan was I think the first music news site to spread news about the new song yesterday . Others soon followed. The BV got their info from my posts at the FB fan Group, and gives me a "Thanks Bob Beatty!" shout out at the end of their write up, That's two times in a row just this week the BV (run by a big Mazzy/Hope fan) has been first out of the gate among music news sites with breaking Mazzy Star news while thanking me for being their source.
http://www.brooklynvegan.com/listen-to- ... -star-now/Another funny thing is the Mazzy Star and Hope S&TWI official FB pages a number of times have found articles they like that they saw posted first at the FB fan Group. Then they put the same articles on their own official FB sites, soon thereafter. They never credit us at the FB fan Group directly, but we see evidence they get stuff from us sometimes! We've "scooped" them many times on news articles, info, etc. The bands have "spies" in the FB fan Group to tip them off to worthwhile material they themselves might like to post about. Some of us have had fun trying to figure out who all the band insiders are who have joined the fan group. Some use their real names, and others prefer being incognito.
