OTHER BANDS

There's no un-Mazzy Star related sections - so I thought I'd create a new thread. Discovered a band, courtesy of our local library: FOXYGEN
If you like '60s psychedelic music, listen to: In the Darkness
Velvet Underground -- listen to No Destruction and/or On Blue Mountain
The Cramps -- listen to We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic
The Beatles -- Oh No 2
There are others, but these are the ones where the influences were detectable to my ears. I thought that would be a better guide than simply writing the band's name.
Emma - if you prefer we don't litter this site with unrelated Mazzy Star things - let me know.
And on an unrelated note, I really think the video for "Trouble" was influenced by a poster's comment that Mazzy Star seemed to be fascinated by doorways. You never know how information travels and what creativity it sparks. (Which is not a counterargument to the comment I left for Emma - this is merely an aside.)
