[Later edit, March, 2016. Re. DOWNLOADING VIDEOS FROM YOUTUBE, etc. For those wanting to download videos from youtube and other sites, I notice it has gotten harder to find free video downloader software that work as well they did in the past. For instance, I used to use Freemake, & Jordy video downloaders, but they ceased working dependably. It seems video streaming sites may have introduced new safeguards to make it harder to DL their videos. Freemake & Jordy are intended to work with any browser. However, I'm having much better luck now using Firefox browser's video downloader free Add-ons you can easily get. They work only with Firefox, but there are some very good ones. There are a number of different Firefox ones you can use. I have several different Firefox ones on my laptop as sometimes one will work to DL a particular video while the others won't, for some reason. The Firefox video downloader Add-ons are what are working best for me now].

the NYC one above as it's marred in places by loud talkers chattering during songs. Unfortunately, talkers seem more prominent in this Philly recording than in any other 2013 recording I've heard so far.

This was the last date of Mazzy Star's 15-date November, 2013 tour, although they appeared on Jimmy Fallon's TV show 2 days later, Nov. 25, & performed "California".

The above youtube video is blocked in Germany (but no where else). Of six 2013 Mazzy shows I've upped to youtube it's the only one blocked anywhere. It's blocked due to copyright claims, not on the band's music, but on the intro music, & between-songs music. This seems especially odd as the same intro music is used at all shows, but only this one show got flagged for it, for some reason.

It is, however, interesting to learn what the intro music is. This is what the claims are that got the video blocked:

-"The Drift-The Skull Hand Smiles / May You Fare Well", sound recording administered by: Indmusic, (at 5:02)

-"Zdenek Liska-Pearls from the Deep", sound recording administered by:
PIAS, EMI, (at 43:06)

Ironic that it's during this particular show (blocked because of the pre-recorded music) that Hope's heard commenting to the audience re. that intro & between-song music saying "Don't you all love this music? I love it."

Thanks go to forum member MKBN for sharing (via another thread here entitled "Performance on Fallon") download links to his video file of Mazzy's Nov. 15, 2013 TV performance of the song "California" on Jimmy Fallon's show. This allowed me to upload Mazzy Star's performance to youtube. Unfortunately, NBC is blocking my upload worldwide, so it cannot be a public youtube video, & won't come up in google or youtube searches. So, I've designated it as "Unlisted". That way, anyone who has the URL can still link to & watch it. Here's the URL:

Besides the band's performance, Ive also included the footage of the band onstage from the end of the show the clip of Mazzy's performance NBC is streaming online does not include. Some youtubers say the clip NBC is streaming online is not viewable in some countries. An "Unlisted" yt video of it should presumably play everywhere, so long as people have the URl for it to link to. If anyone who tries the URL is unable to view it on yt, let me know.

Oh well, people can still view the NBC stream for as long as NBC keeps it available, or better yet can DL their own copy from MKBN's links.

Since NBC won't allow uploads on youtube of the video of Mazzy Star's Jimmy Fallon TV Show performance
I tried upping an audio file of it with slideshow of screen capture pics from the video.

In the video description there I direct people to the "Performance on Fallon" thread here to find MKBN's links to DL files of the show.

Maybe they'll let you post the video if you cut Fallon out of it.

My guess is NBC likely has a little piece of copyright ID embedded in every frame of the video file of their show that gets triggered if one tries to upload the video to yt whether it has Fallon's voice or image in it or not, & it gets blocked.
