Uli:
I've added Cd Wave Editor to my toolbox. I didn't know what "SBE" referred to, so thanks for the explanation of it too.

He's ba-aa-ack.
Sorcerer, that is.
Thanks for noticing the Mazzy 1993-11-15, Chicago, Lounge Ax show was missing. And also for noticing the link was dead for Mazzy 2012-04-11, SF, Regency Ballroom.I've added your two new links to the boots list. I had the Lounge Ax one in my files but it got overlooked somehow when this list got assembled.

As you mention, something's wrong with the Filefactory link here for Mazzy - 1993-10-21 - Manchester, although other Filefactory links are working today. Here's a new additional link for it:

Btw, re. the mazzystar.tk site you (i.e. Sorcerer) were webmaster of going suddenly defunct last year, you claim the site had been unexpectedly shut down or deleted by the hosting organization, not by you. Even if that's true (which I'm not convinced it is) it doesn't explain why you went incommunicado & didn't explain the situation to me even though you'd designated me a supposed co-administrator. And you didn't explain it to anyone else either, as far as I know. You & the site just disappeared, not to resurface again till now, a year or so later. You didn't reply to my email of the time asking what had happened. You knew of my youtube account too which would have been another easy way to contact me, had you wanted to.

hopesandoval.com 's Forum was still operating for a while after your site disappeared. You could have left a message there informing fans about what had happened to mazzystar.tk. If the site had in fact been shut down against your will, surely you would have said something about it to me & others at the time. That's why I suspect you just got fed up with operating the site, & with the relentless ad spamming that was happening, etc., & pulled the plug yourself one day without warning to anyone, nor any explanation after the fact. What ever the facts may be surrounding the site shutting down, you handled the situation poorly, imo. The timing was particularly bad too as Mazzy Star was just becoming quite active again with a new album & tour forthcoming, a time when a fan forum was especially needed. If you weren't able to continue with a site/forum, you should have given a heads up so someone else could start a new one. Instead, you kept us in the dark not knowing if the .tk site was defunct, or just down temporarily.

That .tk domain had serious drawbacks anyway. It was a magnet for ad spammers, some fans' ISPs blocked .tk domain sites which meant some who wanted to couldn't access the site, plus I believe the site did not show up in Google searches. By contrast, Emma's .fr site receives almost no spam, is not blocked by ISPs, & its contents readily shows up in Google searches. Emma's Forum has developed a presence online by now, & fans have found it, or are finding it. It seems to be working out quite well, & I iike to think it's unlikely the plug will get unexpectedly pulled on this one.

So, long live mazzystar,free.fr!

Allot was happening at the time and the email address I used for it I didn't check that much, I was going to email you but never got around to it. Sorry for not letting you know more at the time but what happen is the server I had it on "spacyhost.com" shut down. They probably sent me a Email about it but like I said I never check that address got way to many Email Addresses allot get over looked.

I just found my info for the site allot of Stuff gets moved to External Hard Drives and with 10+ of them its hard to find it.

Also I am glad to see these forums are here, hope there on for a long time but who knows when using free space that was one of the problems I had with the other was it was on a Free provider which shut down. And I never got them back up so all I am Sorry about that.

Mazzy Star - 1996-10-31 BBC Radio session
4-songs, full band:
https://mega.co.nz/#!GUtASD6Y!e1rF71psH ... MICIHXO-Ms
[later edit: the above link is a new replacement one, as of June 10, 2014, for a new version of the file. It includes hanwaker's folder he provided of a different recording from a different re-broadcast of the same BBC set with two songs. His folder was missing in the June 8 upload]

Good quality radio session recording.

The prior upload of this same session had only three of the songs. This file adds the missing "Rhymes of an Hour," (which to me is the most desirable of the four as there are far fewer 1990s live versions of it than the other three songs), plus it adds an improved(?) version of "Halah." BBC radio has played songs from this set a number of times since 1996, but as far as I know, just one, two, or three songs at a time, not the whole set of four.

The file of four songs has 12 tracks:
01 Halah, FLAC from MP3 (updated 2014)
02 Rhymes of an Hour, FLAC from MP3
03 Flowers in December, FLAC from MP3
04 Ghost Highway, FLAC from MP3

05 Halah, FLAC from MP3 128 (2012 re-broadcast)

06 Halah, MP3 (updated 2014)
07 Rhymes of an Hour, MP3
08 Flowers in December, MP3
09 Ghost Highway, MP3

10 Halah MP3 (2012 re-broadcast)
-Plus, two more tracks: This upload includes hanwaker's folder he shared that was included in the original upload of this set found earlier in the boots list. His has two songs from a BBC re-broadcast, "Ghost Hwy." & "Flowers..." in MP2

With hanwaker's help, we previously assembled 3 songs from the set from various re-broadcasts, but Rhymes of an Hour didn't appear till I last week came across a link to someone's recording from a 2011 BBC re-broadcast of 3 songs, which included "Rhymes..." via this site:
http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-ne ... past-daily
It links to this stream:
http://pastdaily.com/wp-content/uploads ... n-1996.mp3

I used Apowersoft free audio stream recorder to record the stream as it played as it's not otherwise downloadable as a file. Though it's an MP3 stream, I DL-ed in FLAC format as I had best luck doing that with Vanessa's vinyl rip MP3 stream of "Things." The file contains
FLAC versions of all 4 songs (but derived from MP3. So, it's "fake FLAC," as hanwaker says), plus there are MP3 320 versions of the four songs either converted from the FLAC files ("Rhymes...," & "Halah"),or are the same MP3 320 files found in the prior upload of this set ("Flowers...," & "Ghost..."). The "improved" version of "Halah" here has a few popping sounds on it that aren't present in the prior version. The prior one was from my 2012 attempt to record a BBC stream. The audio recorder used then was set to record at a mediocre 128kbps MP3. I'm including it here for listeners to decide which version they prefer.

I've also upped two songs separately (in FLAC derived from the MP3 stream), the two new additions, in case people may want just those alone, & don't mind them in FLAC format.
Rhymes of an Hour:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/751fdbpvumlz
Halah:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/12wcbzy17vcn

An old bootlegs list from a defunct, now archived, web page, here:
http://www.geocities.ws/re_bootleg/mazzystar.html
lists the '96 BBC session & its set list. I've placed the four songs in the order it gives. It lists just the same four songs, plus one interview segment. So, we likely have all the songs now, if not the interview portion. Contrary to the claim at the "all voices" & "past daily" pages (see above for links) which say this is a John Peel session, it seems it's actually a 1996 Mark Radcliffe BBC session as the geocities boots list mentioned above says. The first recording of it I heard & recorded (in 2012) has the 2012 BBC DJ saying it was originally a Mark Radcliffe session.

The1996-10-31 BBC file listed above should also have included hanwaker's folder he provided earlier that was included in the prior upload originally listed in the boots thread in 2012. It has two songs from another recording of another re-broadcast of the same BBC set: "Ghost Hwy." & "Flowers." There's a new replacement file of the BBC set upped today here:
https://mega.co.nz/#!GUtASD6Y!e1rF71psH ... MICIHXO-Ms
that includes hanwaker's folder which was missing from the June 8 upload. The boots list has been edited adding the new replacement link. Or, hanwaker's folder can be DL-ed on its own here:

botracer:
Thank you for the heads up & links for the Antwerp gig. And thanks to the blogger at http://pyrolysebred.blogspot.com/ who blogged about it & upped it. Nice sounding show. I'll add a listing for it in the boots list.

After DL-ing the file one needs to enter a password to open it as the blogger/uploader placed a password on it. The password as given in the blog posting is the blogger's name, " pyrolysebred ".

Re. the 1994 Paris show. It looks still downloadable, & shows 16 completed DLs already, & no one else has mentioned something being wrong with the file. When you say "broken," do you mean you DL-ed it but it won't play?
Or are you having trouble DL-ing it at all? If so, have you signed up at 4-shared? 'Cause they now require both uploaders & DL-ers to register for a free account before you can use the service. Or, it looks like they've started also allowing signing in using Twitter, FB, etc., accounts. And I see they now throw a lot of optional stuff at you too they'd like you to get. You can ignore all that stuff & look for the page with the "Slow Download" button.

New Addition:
MAZZY STAR INTERVIEW, 2013, Aug. 2, by interviewer, Sylvain Fesson.

Audio file of of the whole 50+ minute long interview with Hope & David (+ text), downloadable here:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/5lx39g9 ... ylvain.zip
[later edit: I've also upped the interview to youtube, here: http://youtu.be/TJaFHGAEFiE ]

This interview is found online as French language text at this musician interview site:
http://parlhot.com/a-lirelivre/entretie ... asons-day/
The interviewer and site owner of http://parlhot.com , Sylvain Fesson, has generously shared a copy of the audio file of his original interview conducted in English, & has kindly given the go ahead to share it publicly via this fan site. Many thanks Sylvain!

By the way, Sylvain is also a lyricist/vocalist in a music project. He says he works
together with a young musician from Belgium, Arthur Devreux. You can hear six of their songs at Deezer, here:
http://www.deezer.com/album/10028556
I like his songs, especially the last five of the six at Soundcloud, the "mellow" ones entitled
Le coeur du monde, La chance de vivre, La vie m'allait bien, Aux étoiles, & Violaine.
Of course, I wish I could understand the French language better. His stuff's worth checking out!
Also, here's his "About Me" page at his site:
http://parlhot.com/about/
Later update: Sylvain now has a youtube channel with videos of his music, here:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9l2UL ... dL9O99BQyQ

Although Mazzy Star did at least 11 interviews in 2013, there are no recordings I know of
available of any aside from this one. The only other interview recordings I know of are the
two radio ones (findable in this Boots list), plus one TV one (findable at youtube in two parts:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7STkdKwlqY &
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqgQznBnQDo ,kindly upped to yt by mazzystar.free.fr forum member Zarik). Those three interviews are all 20+ years old, & are shorter. So, we can be pleased we
get to hear, thanks to Sylvain, a recording of this more recent interview, a rarity.

Although Hope's less talkative here than we might prefer, as David speaks most, she has some memorable things to say, and a few funny lines (sample: "Are you saying that I have the Devil in me when I sing?" -Hope). Hope also contributes lots of unexpected, welcome, friendly laughter to the discussion, responding to things David and Sylvain say.

New bootleg addition:

Mazzy Star - July 11, 1996, Paris, Le Divan du Monde FLAC,
69 minutes. The file is 373MB in size.

Download from:
http://www.4shared.com/zip/q9d4Bnjbce/M ... ris_L.html
OR
http://www.filefactory.com/file/1gy1ebj ... 0Monde.zip

Very good quality audience recording. Recordings of 1996-7 Mazzy Star shows aren't nearly
as abundant as ones from 1993-4. So, having another good quality recording from 1996 that
includes some songs from 1996's album, "Among my Swan," is welcome.

No technical details of the original Paris recording are known. The tape this audio file's
taken from, & the digital transfer of it, are Scott Simpson's. His tape is a Maxell II-S cassette
tape labelled DAT2 (digital audio tape). He received the recording in trade. I've previously
uploaded & shared on his behalf (via Dimeadozen.org, & via fan site, mazzystar.free.fr),
Scott's five excellent 1990s Mazzy Star gig recordings he recorded himself. In future,
I'll be uploading some more 1990s Mazzy Star shows, ones new to me, Scott's sharing that,
like this one, he received in trade, shows that, as far as I know, have not been circulating
widely in recent years.

Tracklisting
00 (band takes the stage)
01 Bells Ring
02 Halah
03 Disappear
04 She Hangs Brightly
05 Blue Flower (Slapp Happy cover)
06 Flowers in December
07 Five String Serenade (Arthur Lee & Love cover)
08 Ride it On
09 Leaving on a Train, a.k.a. Let That Be (unreleased)
10 I've Been Let Down
11 Still Cold
12 Ghost Highway
13 So Tonight That I Might See
14 Give You My Lovin'

Btw, if you DL from 4shared, ignore the larger, blue-coloured buttons that
say "Download" or "4Priority Download". Those are for some commercial thing.
Instead click on the smaller GREY button that says "download", the one
directly under the file's title towards the left side. Then follow the
instructions for "Slow (i.e. free) Download"
