Country icon Glen Campbell died in 2017, and released his farewell album, Ghost on the Canvas, in 2011. That record has now been reimagined as duets, with a wild spectrum of artists involved: Hope Sandoval, Sting, punk band X, Elton John, Carole King, Eric Church, Dolly Parton, Eric Clapton, Brian Setzer, Linda Perry, and Daryl Hall & Dave Stewart. Titled Glen Campbell Duets: Ghost on the Canvas Sessions, the album is out April 19 via Big Machine / Surfdog Records.

Glen and I listened to a couple of different Mazzy Star songs while we were preparing to record the Meet Glen Campbell album and after listening to ‘Mary of Silence’ he said ‘I can’t do better than that,’” shares producer and co-writer Julian Raymond. “He greatly admired Hope’s talent. Her vocal on ‘The Long Walk Home’ is just stunning and beautiful, you really feel the emotion of the song.”

Thanks Emma for posting details about Hope's duet with Glen Campbell.
When I posted about it at the Facebook fan group I co-admin, I made a mental note I should post about it here at the .fr site too, but never got to it. I'm glad you did. That actually happens a lot. I'll share something at the FB Group and think I need to do the same here, but don't get to it. If others like you can make up for my dereliction, so much the better!
