You may have been posting far too infrequently here, but when ever you do post, it's typically great finds of material and background info/research. I'm sorry you've had difficulties in your personal life, and that those have limited your online activities here. Thank you for keeping the site operating.

Many thanks for the new pics you found from the recent tour and also the original pic of Hope used for the 1993 Raygun mag cover. And another Oct. 11 Seattle show pic from the show I attended! Thank you. the only two pics I know of from that show are the two you posted here. Btw, I took the liberty of re-posting your latest photos to the FB fan Group, crediting you as source.

Re. posting photos here, I can go back to using a third party file hosting site again. Imgur seems to be working fine after Photobucket suddenly ended free third party file hosting wiping out a lot of the pics I'd embedded at this site. I've been replacing those with new Imgur versions but there are still some yet to fix.

Drugstore: If it's any help, Irfanview is a not bad, and a not too complex, free photo editing program I use to resize (make smaller) photos I want to embed here, then upload them to Imgur site, get their "BB" link for embedding a photo at sites like this and then insert the BB linkfor the photo in the thread here. Ideally, it would be best to have a second link to the original size photo in undiminished quality either by linking to the original article, or else by uploading the original to imgur as a second version of the photo there, and then post a link here so people can go to the original on Imgur's page and DL it from there.

I'm retired now so have some time to make it a bit of a hobby to find & post Hope & Mazzy related stuff here and at the FB site, plus uploading recordings to youtube. "Labour of love," as they say!

Btw, how do you guys find photos of Hope at Instagram? The only way I seem able to find Instagram pics is by searching Twitter for "Hope Sandoval" - "Latest" and spying links to IG pics people post to twitter. Is there a way to search Instagram directly for "Hope Sandoval" as content? Because when I've tried searching "Hope Sandoval" at Instagram all I seem to get is lists of Instagram users with the name "Hope Sandoval", or "X Sandoval" or "Hope X," etc. It doesn't seem to give search results for "Hope Sandoval" as a subject rather than as a name of IG users. What the heck? What am I doing wrong?

I don't have an Instagram account and the only way I found to access Instagram pictures without signing up is typing one of the following URLs in the address bar of my web browser:

https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/hopesandoval/

https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/mazzystar/

Instagram then loads pictures that are associated with hashtags "hopesandoval" or "mazzystar".
You can click the "Load more" button at the bottom of the page to load additional pictures. The more you scroll down, the more pictures get loaded.

On a sidenote, I found this IG photo of Mazzy Star at the Seattle show you attended in 2013.

Wow, thanks Emma for the info about searching IG for Hope pics successfully! I couldn't find out how to do it. I haven't tried drugstore's suggestion yet.

And thank you for the 2013 pic of Hope on stage in Seattle. The only other ones I have from that 2013 show are also thanks to you and come from those yt videos from the show someone recorded that you alerted me to. The 2013 stage was so dark, much darker than 2017's at the same venue, and the video came out very dark. The clearest screen shot I could find in those videos I used for the thumbnail for my yt upload of the audio of the whole show - but it's not too clear. The one you just posted is clearest I've seen yet.

Btw, since Herman the cat was discussed earlier in this thread, I'll speculate here this picture of a cat that appeared in the mysterious 2016 "Tendril Tales" video (the video showed no title at the original site, but when downloaded it did have that title attached to it) that was at Hope's & Colm's equally mysterious official site, tendriltales.com along with some pics of Hope in the video, might just be of Hope's Herman!


[Later edit: Site member "drugstore" shared some convincing evidence with me via FB message suggesting the cat shown above from the "Tendril Tales" video is in fact Hope's handsome cat Herman ( a grey with black stripes tabby, with bits of white on him also), as is this other cat from Mazzy Star's "I'm Less Here" video. To make the Herman photos clearer to view, I've made the original negative (colour reversed) black & white images of the videos positive].

It sounds good. Of the two phone recordings of shows I have so far (the other is L.A.), this Berkeley one has the best audio quality.

intodust: Enjoy! We're fortunate a bunch of fans besides me recorded shows and have been happy to have them shared on their behalf. I'm surprised the live show torrent sharing site dimeadozen.org hasn't been a reliable source for shows for this tour (several 2013 Mazzy shows got posted there by other tapers), as the only 2017 Hope shows posted there so far were two I shared there. Luckily, other shows are coming from members of FB, yt, and this site (Rob Y/Yaz_Rock), instead.

Btw, I retired the first upload of "Into The Trees," the Oct. 13, 2017 Berkeley recording with guest musician Michael Masley, Thomas Attenborough recorded and have replaced it with the better audio quality source recording of the same performance from Tom Scanlan at yt, here: https://youtu.be/m9kCYKv-998
