It looks like some venues are reporting ticket sale numbers. I'm assuming that's what the "guests"
numbers shown are. I don't know how up-to-date the sales numbers are, but they suggest there are lots of tickets still available at some venues.

Hope and Spiritualized at the same show !! you lucky people

Hey drugstore:
Good to see you back posting at the site. Yes, I imagine Hope & co. are leaving an awful lot of fans disappointed since their tour includes only ten U.S. cities with whole regions left out. Too bad they're not coming near you. I just feel lucky they seem to like playing the west coast as far north as Seattle,just a few hours drive away for me.

Finally I decide to fly to the nearest city to attend one show. Since I've never saw them live and who knows the next time they are willing to tour again.

Good idea to grab the opportunity to travel to a Hope show, if she won't travel to where you are. It could be many long years before her next MS or HS&TWI tour.

Spirtualized? I recall Hope citing them in a 1990s interview as a band she liked. Never got to like them so much myself from music I heard from the band. Oh, well.

NEW L.A. SHOW ANNOUNCED FOR HOPE SANDOVAL, for NOVEMBER 15.

L.A.'s lucking out with upcoming Hope shows. There's Oct. 14 in L.A., Oct. 15 at nearby Joshua Tree, and now another L.A. show's been announced for November 15. It's billed as: "Acetone, Secret Circuit, w/ special guest Hope Sandoval" at Zebulon Cafe in L.A. Tix are a bargain at just $12. It's an intimate, small capacity venue (I read 200 - 300), apparently. Too bad I don't live near L.A.

Notice the billing doesn't mention "The Warm Inventions", just Hope. What could that mean, I wonder? Maybe she's doing something different without The Warm Inventions-?

It's interesting Acetone's on the bill as Hope has a history with them. She & David were fans and Acetone opened for Mazzy Star on some dates in the 1990s. Mark Lightcap, Acetone's guitarist, was a member of the Warm Inventions touring band in 2002 (this was long before Dirt Blue Gene later joined as part of The Warm Inventions for later albums and tours). During the 2002 tour Hope covered Acetone's song "Louise", a beautiful song made more so by Hope's voice. It was written by Acetone's Mark Lightcap and Richie Lee who, sadly, had committed suicide in 2001. HS&TWI's said their 2016 video for "Isn't It True" was in part dedicated to Richie Lee, and images of his face appear in it.

I'm assuming this is your forum? Are you attending any of the upcoming Hope shows next month? I will be seeing her in Philadelphia and DC, and I am beyond excited!

Prettybrokenspiral: Do you also go by the name Mickey Flipper who lives in the Philly area? Lucky you, seeing two Hope shows. I'm attending the Seattle one, Oct. 11, and plan on recording it with my trusty Zoom audio recorder and sharing my recording here and elsewhere. I hope some others attending shows may do likewise, if they're able to.

A 34 second video snippet of HS&TWI rehearsing at Santo Studio, Oakland, CA, for the tour was posted to their official FB site today. "The Hiking Song" & "Antiquity" are rehearsed. Both are songs I hope they will play in Seattle!
