Their recent NBC performance was not blocked on other platforms, such as Daily Motion:

NBC may have a special agreement with YT to block videos.

Thanks Emma for finding that Dailymotion clip. Reportedly, NBC's own clip they've been streaming's not available in all countries, & not everyone is going to want to DL a copy of their own, so Dailymotion's a good alternative, assuming it's available everywhere. I'll add a note about it at my YT upload video desscription.

Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but there's video to go with the soundboard recording from Chicago in '94. ABC In Concert was there, and recorded the entire show. I've always wondered if the footage would surface, and apparently it did back then (although I missed it at the time).

Two songs were broadcast, but the fact remains that the entire show was recorded. And I may be wrong (my memory is a little hazy one thousand gin and tonics later...) but this show was lit significantly more than the other two shows they played while in Chicago. I assume this was obviously for the video cameras.

At any rate, it would be great if the band would release a collective of their live performances on DVD, although I'm sure there's a plethora of rights issues related to it. In the meantime, it'd be nice if someone would liberate this complete show.

A few new additions to my yt channel under these titles:

Mazzy Star - Live -1990,NYC,Woody's,AUDIO,Full set,13 songs: 4 unreleased ,61 mins.,improved:
http://youtu.be/YuGCyKxaTPo
Mazzy Star - live 1990, It's A Shame (unreleased song), improved+lyrics:
http://youtu.be/pexqBszg8pQ
Mazzy Star - live 1990 - unreleased song [title unknown(Bad Dreams Smile?)],improved+lyrics:
http://youtu.be/UBTyBbsLw_E
Mazzy Star - live 1990 - Where Did You Run To (unreleased song),improved+lyrics:
http://youtu.be/ajVT_IGu0lM
Mazzy Star - live 1990 - When You Were Young (unreleased song),improved+lyrics:
http://youtu.be/r5t7hfqYLYE
-They're termed "improved" 'cause they're from original taper Scott Simpson's audio file taken directly from his original master tape. A FLAC audio file of the same recording has been listed in the boots section for some months.I just didn't get around to replacing the old version up at yt till now.

Also, another of Scott's recordings:
Mazzy Star live 1996,AUDIO, NYC, Supper Club,full set,15 songs,78 mins.,improved:
http://youtu.be/VMENBbLODS4
-This replaces the prior yt upload of a different recording of the same show.

*********************************************************************************************
Btw, I was pleased to see this morning Mazzy Star's Keith Mitchell showed up at the comments section of my yt upload of the 2013 Seattle show: http://youtu.be/Fa96waqcEaI where he left a couple of comments, including one confirming (as a prior yt commenter had suggested) it was his son Paul who played bass on the 2013 tour. And Keith says Paul played guitar & viola on the 2012 U.S. (i.e. Calif.) tour.

Well, at least one band member seems not unhappy about Mazzy Star live boots being upped to yt, & even leaves helpful comments. That's good to know. One of Mazzy Star's 2013 tour official photographers, Lori Reyes (Luz Gallardo took some too), also left a useful comment re. one of my 2013 gig yt slideshows, the Philly one. Her comment disappeared for a while, & I thought she must have deleted it, but I see it's back up again now, so there must have been a temporary yt glitch. Fortunately, she doesn't seem to mind me using some of her own tour photos.

Anyway, the band's earning ad revenue from my yt uploads as the ads appearing on them aren't of my own doing but are there due to "third party" copyright claims on the music contents, & ad revenue goes to the copyright holders. As soon as one uploads music to yt, yt's computers scan the contents & copyright holders are often ID-ed automatically. If the band was strongly against their live shows being upped to yt they could easily, as copyright holders, have them removed & blocked from yt. Instead, Mazzy Star seems okay with allowing uploads & claiming ad revenue. This seems fair to me!

Also, at Mazzy Star's Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/MazzyStarOfficial , it's not new, I see it's from a month back & many people here have likely seen it, but Hope's left a rare personal post online (I don't recall ever seeing a post ID-ed as being from her at hopesandoval.com). QUOTE: "Found Monitor on vinyl...
Keith Mitchell's first band. Lovin it! Check it out! - Hope." Apparently, the album was first released in 1981:

I see Keith's left some comments under Hope's post.

Zarik: Yeah, it would be good to see Hope, & also David & others, posting comments, opinions, music picks, etc. on public sites more often.

There's a new & interesting video upload at youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrLIcnl1LfI , a video for the song "In the Kingdom." Mazzy Star's FB page https://www.facebook.com/MazzyStarOffic ... ion=stream officially links to it calling it a "fan-made" video. But a commenter under the FB post says they've heard that Colm O'Ciosoig is actually the one who made the video. And there seems to be some other evidence suggesting Colm may be mystery videographer.

The yt uploader's name is shown as "Herman Kinski". Herman? Aha, there's a SPIN mag Mazzy interview from Sept. 17, 2013 with quotes from Hope & Colm. The two make some amusing comments re. a mysterious "Herman." But a SPIN reader who seems to be in the know posted a comment under the article that "Herman" is actually Hope's & Colm's cat, Herman, suggesting the Herman references are an inside joke! Sample SPIN interview HOPE QUOTE: "How did we find Herman? I think he found us." Cat humour. So, maybe Colm's using his cat's name as his youtube alter ego.

These are amusing cat coincidences for me as my own mazzystar.free.fr & youtube handle "Hermesacat" (which is also the handle I used for years in the Forum at fan site, Mazzy Star Boulevard), is homage to a fave cat of my own named "Hermes" (now deceased) who some referred to as "Herman".

More evidence Colm may be videographer/uploader: Of the three comments that showed under the video at the time I saw it, at least two of three were by Mazzy Star insiders who evidently got an early jump on getting to see the video. Youtuber "presley'spantry" is Hope's niece, Nicole Presley, who sang back up on some Hope recordings, & live on Hope's 2002 tour (nowadays, Nicole's a professional cook/chef as her yt channel attests to). Nicole's comment is: "Gorgeous.... I love that I got a small glimpse of Hope.... it seems like it's her dream." That tipped me off to watch for a Hope cameo. At around 3:20 a female face, seemingly laughing, can be seen in the distance briefly, partially hidden behind a long limbed naked figure advancing towards her. The face looks like Hope's face.

Youtuber "Lori Reyes" was one of Mazzy Star's official photographers on the band's 2013 tour. Luz Gallardo was another. Lori's comment is: "lovely hermes kinski". You tube says her comment was posted four days ago although the FB link was posted just two days ago, suggesting she was likely tipped off early the video was up. The video was upped 5 days ago. "Fan-made" video? Yeah, right. Okay, 'fess up Colm, you made the video, didn't you? I'd say he did a good job. I like it more each time I view it. I agree with Nicole its imagery's very dream-like.

After viewing hanwaker's link to the pic from the "In the Kingdom" video, I'll hedge my bets now (actually, won't bet) re. the likely gender of the naked figure, & will just say it's a naked figure! Once you see all the video frames of the face in the distance, you may, as I did, conclude it's Hope's face (thanks to Nicole Presley's tip off to look for Hope appearing in it). That I'll bet on.

Nicole Presley replied to my posts at FB & youtube re. the youtube video for "In the Kingdom", offering more info. & informing me I have it wrong about Hope's scene being at 3:20.

QUOTE (youtube): "@hermesacat No. No. That's not what I meant.... I see her at 1:58 - 1:59. Not at 3:20.... you're scandalous. "
QUOTE (FB): "@bobBee No Hope is not at 3:20 in the video. She is at 158-159. Analyze it more..... you'll realize it is not her. Come on people.... you know better than that.... she would never appear that way."

-When I look at the face at 1:58 that Nicole cites, which appears to be someone sleeping, I don't recognize it as being Hope. But what do I Know? I'm not a relative of Hope's who may have factual knowledge about the making of the video that "guessers" like me don't have! But I still have a question as to why the scene from 3:20 or so is the one used as the video's thumbnail & is the pic found in Mazzy's FB page's "Photos" section, which is the pic hanwaker linked to.

-Since Nicole did not also take issue against the theory I posted to yt about Colm O'Ciosoig as secret videographer, I like to view that as likely more evidence he may be the guy.
